"Strażak-3" - Polish firefighting ship, built in the German Democratic Republic, commissioned in 1965. The ship's length is 32.2 meters, draft is 1.7 meters, maximum width is 5.9 meters. The ship is equipped with one four-stroke 6NVD26A 4-cylinder engine. Cruising speed fluctuated around 11-12 knots. The ship's crew consisted of 12 people, including six firefighters. The firefighting vessel "Strażak 3" was built at the “Schiffswerft Berlin-Koepenick” river shipyard for the Gdańsk seaport. This vessel, like three other vessels of the same type, built for the ports of Gdynia, Szczecin and Świnoujście, belonged to the "IBIS" class. However, in order to meet the needs of Polish customers, the manufacturer redesigned and modified the interior space and installed special equipment, that differed from the standard on ships of this class. During its long service life,"Strażak-3" performed tasks, related to independent firefighting on ships in the port and port raids, firefighting on port facilities and water supply to land firefighting units. The vessel was decommissioned in 1992.
A small, well-detailed and well-designed model of a small ship, intended for medium-experienced and experienced modelers. The model has all the details perfectly designed, there is even a control cabin interior, hull and underwater parts, fire extinguishing details, and the model itself stands out for its colorfulness. There are no color reserves, but some of them can be "hunted" by sparingly using the gluing boxes of the other sides of the details. The textual instruction in Polish is not very large, but quite detailed and will definitely help in the process of assembling the model. The graphical instruction may be a bit too small, but it is certainly sufficient, informative and easy to read.
