Tatra 815 - a symbol of the Czechoslovakian (now Czech) truck family, widely used as standard vehicles. These trucks are equipped with a number of types of enginesб manufactured by companies such as „Tatra”, “Deutz”, “Cummins” or “Caterpillar”, with a capacity of 6 to 18 liters and a power of 330 to 590 h. p. Serial production began in 1983 and is still being produced. The Tatra 815 family of cars was developed as a replacement for the Tatra 813 trucks. From the beginning, they were adapted for off-road driving, usually with all-wheel drive. These cars used classic “Tatra” solutions in the chassis and suspension construction. In Europe the Tatra 815 is mainly used in the civilian market, in petrochemical and mining enterprises, as well as in logistics companies. In the United States it was first adapted for the functions of a fire truck, where it is sold under the “American Truck Company” brand. Military versions are used by the armed forces of countries such as the Czech Republic, India, Sri Lanka and Saudi Arabia.
A large, complex, well-designed and richly detailed model. The full version (with a driver's and passenger cabin, full detailing of the engine, transmission, chassis and its suspension, cargo platform and external components and parts) is recommended only for intermediate and experienced modelers. The model is so detailed, that, when finished, it will seem, that You are holding a real car in Your hands, only 25 times smaller. There is a reserve of color. Text instruction, one might say, are not at all - just a few notes, the graphic one is large and will serve You well in the model assembling process.
