De Havilland “Mosquito” - one of the most versatile aircraft of the Second World War, called the "wooden miracle" and "termite's dream" due to its wooden construction. NF Mk.II - one of the first night fighter variants, it was equipped with the AI Mk.IV radar, which allowed it to effectively intercept German bombers during night raids. This aircraft was designed from a fighter version, but adapted for operations in conditions of poor visibility. NF Mk.II entered service in 1942 and quickly gained a reputation as an effective "night hunter". The “Mosquito” was exceptionally fast and maneuverable, so it could evade threats and effectively fight the enemy. It served in many Royal Air Force (RAF) squadrons, significantly contributing to reducing the losses, caused by the Luftwaffe. The introduction of airborne radar made it one of the first truly effective night fighters. The “Mosquito” NF Mk.II was a significant step in the development of Allied night fighter aviation.
A medium-sized, well-designed and richly detailed model for only medium-experienced and experienced modelers. It perfectly reproduces the appearance of the cockpit, landing gear, engines, landing gear niches, exterior details, painted in the colors of the 23rd RAF Night Fighter Division in November 1942 (the entire aircraft is black). The textual instructions are large in Polish and English, detailed, the graphics are considerable, well drawn, informative and perfectly readable. There is small color reserve.
