"Polonia" – the Polish universal ferry

On May 30, 1995, the newest and largest Polish ferry "Polonia" began its voyages from Świnoujście to Isted and back. This ferry was built by the Norwegian shipyard "Langsten Group". The interior decoration and equipment were designed by one of the best Norwegian design firms "Arne Johanson". The ship is operated by the company "Unity Line". Its construction cost about 100 million dollars. "Polonia" - a universal passenger-car-rail ferry. In its class, it is one of the most beautiful ferries in the Polish fleet. The ship's port of call is Nassau in the Bahamas. The ferry can accommodate about 1,000 passengers at a time, the effective length of the railway tracks on the ship is 740 meters. The length of the loading lanes for car trailers on the main deck is 1,000 meters, and on the upper deck - 1,140 meters. In addition, there is an 800-meter-long lane for passenger cars on the light decks. The ferry has 212 cabins for passengers, except for the "basic" cabins, all the others have a shower with heated floors. Regardless of the class, all cabins on the "Polonia" have an air conditioning system, the ferry is equipped with the latest security systems, most of which are used for the first time in Polish shipping. The natural plants, planted everywhere, and the dominant light color scheme provide a lot of comfort on the ferry. The trip on the "Polonia" will remain in the memories of passengers for a long time.

A large model of a large ship, well designed and moderately detailed, but quite complex and suitable only for medium-experienced and experienced modelers. The model is not overloaded with details, but when glued together, it looks really impressive. There are no color stocks in this model. The model recreates the appearance of the ship from 1999. It perfectly recreates the hull, underwater detailing, superstructures, decks and other equipment, there are even details of several auto-trailer models. The textual instructions in Polish are quite extensive and sufficient for good assembling of the model, as, by the way, is the graphical one.
