ORP "Zuchwala" – the Polish river gunboat

ORP "Zuchwala" – the Polish river gunboat of the interwar and World War II period. The keel of this ship was laid in 1932, launched in 1933, entered service in June of the same year. The length of the ship is 18.1 meters; width is 4.6 meters. Displacement is about 30 tons. The armament consisted of a 100 mm haubitze, one 37 mm “Puteaux” cannon and a 7.92 mm machine gun. ORP “Zuchwala” was originally projected as an "armoured breakthrough ship", but eventually became a "river gun - ship". Most likely from the very beginning it was intended for the activities of the Pinsk flotilla, in which it entered in June 1933. When the Second World War began, it served in Pripyat, Pinsk region as part of the Separate Division flotilla. After September 9, 1939 it guarded the culverts of the Jasiołda and Strumień rivers. During the Soviet offensive, the ship headed towards Pinsk. However, it was not possible to reach the city, the crew sank it, most likely on September 19, 1939.

Two small models of a small ship at different scales (1: 100 and 1: 200), both simple, but well designed and richly detailed, suitable for modelers of any experience. There are color reserves (only gray), but not many. The textual instruction in Polish and English is quite large for models of this size and complexity, detailed, informative and perfectly complement the graphical instruction, which is not large, but easy to read, quite detailed and informative.
