"Santa Maria" is the flagship, on which Christopher Columbus discovered America in 1492. It was a nao-type three-masted carrack, the length of which did not exceed 25 meters. "Santa Maria" was a single-deck, three-masted ship with straight sails. Its sailing equipment consisted of 5 sails: foresail, mainsail, mainsail-marsel, lateen mizzen and a blind on the bowsprit. It was slower, than other Columbus ships, but was distinguished by its reliability during storms, but never reached the shores of America.

A small, medium-complexity, moderately designed and fairly well-detailed model for medium-experienced and experienced modelers. However, the model is not so complicated, that it could not be glued by an advanced beginner modeler, working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. There is medium color reserve, the textual instruction is quite large and informative, the graphical one could be better, but this should be enough for a good model gluing. Antiquarian publication.
