Instead of the "Grom", sunk near Narvik, the Polish Navy borrowed a newly built "N" class destroyer from the British Admiralty. It was named ORP "Piorun" ("Lightning") and part of its crew consisted of the surviving sailors of "Grom". The ship actively participated in combat operations from the beginning of 1941 and was in the midst of events throughout World War II. During the war, she sailed 218 thousand nautical miles, escorted 81 convoys, sank 4 enemy ships and seriously damaged two more, sank 1 submarine, shot down 1 aircraft. He was modernized twice. In September 1946, the Polish flag was lowered and the ship was returned to the British, where she sailed until 1956 under the name HMS "Noble".
A medium-size model of a medium-size ship - well designed, also well detailed, intended for medium-experienced and experienced modelers. Beautiful spotted camouflage, no color reserves, excellent textual instructions in Polish, graphical - also quite excellent as for the "Maly Modelarz" publication. Antiquarian publication.
