Łańcut (Podlaskie Voivodeship) Castle is a magnate's residence, built in the second half of the 16th century. Perhaps the first residential building was erected in the form of a solid defensive tower of the noble Pilecki family. However, around 1610 this relatively small building was expanded and took on the shape of a horseshoe. The biggest changes occurred, when Stanisław Lubomirski became the owner of the castle. Then, in 1629–1641, projected by Maciej Trapoli, the complex was surrounded by modern and powerful bastion fortifications. As a result, it became the so-called "pallazzo in fortezza", i.e. an object of a military nature, but with the distinctive features of a residential building. After 1783 the fortifications were turned into a park. In 1816 the castle became the property of the Potocki family. Fortunately, the complex did not suffer any damage during both world wars. After 1945, the castle began to operate as a museum.

A large, colorful and seemingly quite complicated castle model. However, due to the relatively simple shapes and methods of forming details and clever projecting, this beautiful model can be assembled even by an advanced beginner, who has assembled several more complex models before and works under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. Well, for the more experienced – a second (or maybe even a third exemplar - as "donors") magazine in hand, we find photos of the original building on the Internet and create a masterpiece in the category of architectural models. There are no reserves of colors and textures. The textual instruction in Polish is not too big, but detailed and perfectly describes the entire process of assembling the model, the graphical one is not very big, clear, informative, easy to read, but more like a supplement to the textual instruction.
