The Gwarków Bell Tower – the Mine Bell Tower in Tarnowskie Gory

The miners' bell tower in Tarnowskie Góry (Silesian Voivodeship) was built in the XIXth century, although it is believed, that it was built, perhaps, on the site of the XVIth century bell tower and according to its construction. The bell tower currently stands on a sandstone foundation, is wooden, and has a shingle roof. It is worth adding, that this roof is called a tent type. Initially, the building was probably located on the territory of the Bobrowniki Śląskie mine, and its ringing marked the time of the mine shift change. However, there is a hypothesis, that the bell tower was also built on the territory of the Fryderyk mine, and in 1955 the miners' bell tower was moved to the city of Tarnowskie Góry, or rather to its very center - to Gwarków Square, near the Roman Catholic St. St. Peter and Paul Church. This building is included in the Register of Immovable Monuments of the Silesian Voivodeship.

A small, not very complicated, well-designed and not overloaded with details model, suitable for modelers of any experience. Only beginners and modelers with little experience are recommended to work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, don’t rush, work carefully and attentively. The model is quite well detailed and recreates the modern appearance of a monument of industrial architecture. There are no reserves of colors and textures. The textual instruction in Polish and English is small, but quite informative, detailed and perfectly complement the not-so-large, but informative, detailed and easy-to-read graphical instructions.
