The World War I soldiers' cemetery in Pabianice's Freedom Park (Park Wolności) was established following the Battle of Łódź in 1915. Fallen Russian and German soldiers are buried there. A wooden chapel featuring a crown-like structural design was built within the cemetery. Originally the chapel was roofed with shingles, but after World War II the roofing was replaced with sheet steel. The cemetery and chapel were dismantled in 1972.
This uncomplicated, well-designed model recreates the chapel's appearance, based on surviving photographs from various periods. As the chapel itself was simple in design, the model is easy to build and suitable even for absolute beginners; no assistance from more experienced modelers is required for assembly. However, working in a group makes the process more enjoyable and efficient. Colors or textures reserves are not included. The textual instruction in Polish is concise yet quite comprehensive; the graphical instruction is also concise yet quite comprehensive, but easy to read—and is certainly sufficient for successfully assembling the model.
