Scammell "Pioneer" - the British WWII heavy utility truck. The first examples of this car were produced in 1927, and it was serially produced from 1927-1945. About 3,400 copies of this car were produced. The car is equipped with one "Gardnem" diesel engine, developing 102 h. p. power. Scammell "Pioneer" was designed as a primary vehicle and artillery tractor for British troops, stationed mainly in the colonies. The truck was an all-terrain vehicle, characterized by high clearance, durable suspension and considerable towing capacity. During production, several versions of this car were created. One of the most produced was an artillery tractor version ("Pioneer" R100) and a technical support vehicle ('Pioneer" SV1T and SV2S). There was also a technical support version for pulling damaged tanks off the battlefield. Their towing capacity was 20 tons ("Pioneer' TRCU20) and 30 tons ("Pioneer" TRCU30). Scammell "Pioneer" trucks received their "baptism of combat" in 1940, during the campaign in France. Later they also served in North Africa (1940-1943) and were used on the Western Front.

Sophisticated, well-designed and richly detailed model, intended for intermediate to advanced modelers only. However, working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, making a model without interior and engine detailing, with a little simplification of the cargo platform equipment, this model can be perfectly assembled by less experienced modelers, but not beginners. Probably,  everything is detailed in model, as in real truck. The model reproduces the tank tractor of the workshop company of the 1st Polish Armored Division, commanded by General Maczek. There is a small stock of colors. Both instructions are exemplary - large, clear, perfectly readable.
