"Honker" – the Polish, modern, mainly military light ORC. Serial production began in 1988 and continues to this day with some interruptions. The manufacturers of this car were various, including: "FSR", "Daewoo Motor Polska" or "Fabryka Samochodow Hooker". The cars were equipped with various gasoline and diesel engines, the power of which ranged from 75 to 115 h. p. The car's carrying capacity reaches 900 kg. The mass of the car itself is 2250 kilograms. The “Honker” was created to replace the Soviet “UAZ-469” ORC in the Polish security forces. The first prototypes were built in 1979, based on the prototype “Tarpan” 234. The final prototype was presented to the public in 1984, and the car began mass production in 1988. Based on the main version, many specialized and modernized versions were also created, including: the “Honker” 4021 (ambulance), the “Honker Max” (a vehicle with increased off-road characteristics), as well as a fire engine version. There was also a prototype “Honker Skorpion”, which was lightly armored and armed with a machine gun and was intended for Polish soldiers, serving in Iraq. Slightly modernized, it went into production under the name “Honker Skorpion-3”.
A small model of a small car, but perfectly detailed and also perfectly designed, intended for modelers of any experience. Only beginners and modelers with little experience are recommended to work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, to simplify something. The model has perfectly designed all the detailing of the cabin interior, chassis, its suspension, exterior. The engine is detailed to the extent, that it is visible from below. There is a reserve of colors. You can make a model with one of four paints: an ordinary military ORC without partial affiliation marking, 6th Airborne Brigade, 11th Armored Cavalry Division Traffic Control Service and 7th Coastal Defense Brigade. The textual instruction in Polish is large, detailed and will definitely help in the process of assembling the model. The graphical instruction is quite large and is definitely sufficient for good gluing of the model, informative and easy to read.
