The German Panzerkampfwagen I, A and later B versions, formed the basis of the German armored units in the invasion of Poland on September 1, 1939, and in the invasion of France in 1940. To a lesser extent, these tanks were used in the Balkan operation and in North Africa. As the armored units were supplemented by larger numbers of new, heavier and better armed tanks, the Pz. Kpfw. I began to be gradually transferred to auxiliary operations areas and training units from 1941. Some of these tanks were converted into self-propelled mortars "Bizon", turretless command vehicles and mounted 20 mm anti-aircraft guns. Production of the tanks began in 1934, and was completed in 1938. A total of about 1,500 vehicles of A and B versions were produced. About 1,400 tanks participated in the September campaign, of which 45 percent were "Panzer I". Of these, over 100 tanks were destroyed. About 1,100 "Panzer I" participated in the actions in France, but in battles with French tanks they had almost no chance of winning. About 150 Pz. Kpfw. I were lost in this campaign.

A well-designed and quite richly detailed model of medium complexity without internal equipment. The external detailing of the model, the chassis, which constitutes the main complexity of the model, is perfectly reproduced. The model depicts a vehicle of the 15th Armored Regiment of the 5th Armored Division, which participated in combat operations in Poland in September 1939. The textual instructions are small, but quite detailed, the graphic ones - also not the largest, but also quite well explaining all the stages of gluing. The model is suitable for modelers of any experience, but beginners and modelers with little experience are recommended to work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, simplify some of the nodes somewhat, and this should not be one of the first more complex models You will make. There is a small stock of color (dark gray).
