"IS-3" (Object 703) – the Soviet heavy tank, designed during World War II and serial production began in the last days of the war, but did not have time to participate in it. Therefore, this machine is usually distinguished as the first Soviet post-war tank. The abbreviation IS stands for Joseph Stalin (Russian: Иосиф Сталин) and was the official name of a series of Soviet heavy tanks, produced from 1943 to 1953. The index 3 denotes the third model of this series. Due to the characteristic shape of the frontal armor plates, these tanks were nicknamed "Pikes". The heavy tank "IS-3M" (Object 240M) is a modernized version of the “IS-3” tank, which began production in 1960. During the modernization, a new engine V-54-IS (Russian: В-54-ИС) was installed on the tank, and the previous radio station 10-RK-26 (Russian: 10-РК-26) was replaced by a new R-113 (Russian: Р-113). The driver-mechanic was equipped with a night vision device TVN-2 (Russian: ТВН-2). The hull resistance has also been increased, an emergency escape hatch has been installed in the bottom of the tank under the turret, and the tank itself has become more reliable. A new tank "IS-4" has been created on the basis of this tank.
A large, complex, well-designed and richly detailed model for only medium-experienced and experienced modelers. The model without internal equipment detailing, but with excellently detailed chassis, its suspension, armament, and exterior details. You can choose one of two versions of the turret cladding: without markings and with the USSR star and the number 114 on the sides. Textual instructions - only a few notes in Lithuanian, Polish, Russian and English, graphic - large and very detailed. Tracks - only from individual tracks, there is a large reserve of military green color.
