The Type 91 fighter was the first mass-produced fighter of the Japanese army. In 1931–1934. 420 of these aircraft were produced. In Type 91 fighters were armed four squadrons of the 11th Air Battalion, which fought against China in Manchuria, as part of the "Kanto Command" in 1933. The Type 91 fighter became the standard fighter of the Japanese army in the newly formed Japanese Army Aviation "Hiko Rentai" units - the equivalent of the European divisions. However, the Type 91 fighters did not remain in service for long time; they completely disappeared from combat units in 1936-1937.
A small model of a small aircraft - well designed and quite richly detailed. The most complex part will be the open, only covered with a Townend ring, engine, which all modelers will have to do. Also, the detailing of the cockpit cannot be avoided, because the cockpit is open and everything is perfectly visible in it (well, maybe not perfectly). The model is intended for modelers of any experience, only beginners and modelers with little experience are recommended to work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. The model has excellent detailing of the cockpit, landing gear, visible engine, exterior detailing. The textual instruction in Ukrainian, Polish, English and German are quite extensive, detailed, and perfectly explain the entire process of assembling the model. The graphical instruction are not the largest, but quite detailed, informative and easy to read.
