Turbine engines, which began to be produced after the war, were very powerful and relatively light. They began to be used in aviation, where they almost completely replaced piston engines. One of the aircraft, on which the new engine was installed, was the Pilatus PC-6. The turbine engine developed 650 h. p. power, which was a huge increase, compared to the 340 h. p. power, developed by the piston engine, was the Pilatus PC-6. As a result, the aircraft's characteristics increased significantly. Due to the low weight of the turbine engine, in order to maintain the correct position of the center of mass, it was necessary to increase the length of the front fuselage. As a result, the aircraft acquired its original appearance with a long "nose". The aircraft was successful and its production license was purchased by the "Fairchild" company, which manufactured it under the designation AU-23. The first flight was made in 1971. Compared to the civilian version, the wing structure was strengthened, which made it possible to install pylons for mounting suspended weapons under it. One of the users of the new combat aircraft was the Royal Thai Air Force.
A well-designed and richly detailed, but not very complex model, depicting one of the aircraft, used by the Royal Thai Air Force. The model is intended for modelers of any experience, except for complete beginners. Less experienced modelers are recommended to work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. The textual instruction is relatively small, but quite detailed, the graphic one is large and perfectly readable. There is a reserve of colors, but so-so-so tiny, that it can be said, that they are non-existent.
