"JELCZ 800" - a series of trucks for military use with increased cross-country ability and mobility on any terrain, four-axle, manufactured by the Polish automobile plant "JELCZ". They are equipped with good armor or integrate a special 2, 4 or 6-seat standard or reduced-height armored cabin. "JELCZ P882 D.45/ P882 D.53 - a eight-wheel drive truck chassis with increased off-road capability, manufactured since 2010, is designed to transport various military equipment and use it in combat conditions. It can be equipped with cranes and systems with its own loading equipment. These trucks are powered by a turbodiesel 430 h. p. engine "Iveco" "Cursor" 10 or 540 h. p. engine "Iveco" "Cursor" 13, a 16-speed manual gearbox. Optional equipment: central tire inflation, filter ventilation equipment, winch. The cabin is armored with a ballistic shield. The Polish Army (Wojsko Polskie) ordered the first 2 P882 D.43 vehicles with TRS-15C “Odra-C” radar stations in 2010; they are assigned to the Coastal Missile Division. The P882 D.53 version was selected for the self-loading ammunition delivery truck for the “Krab” howitzer-cannons under the “Regina” program. In 2019 the Army signed a contract for the delivery of another 24 of these vehicles, which were intended to deliver ammunition for the “Rak” self-propelled mortars. In 2018 the “BAOBAB-K” point-mine devices were installed on the P822 D.53 chassis. “JELCZ P882. 57” is the next version of the 8x8 generation II chassis, designed to install equipment under the “Wisla” program. The P882.57 T45 chassis is used to mount the “Homar-K” multiple launch rocket system (90 units ordered in 2023). Various versions of this chassis are used to mount the “CAMM” short-range anti-aircraft missile launchers - 138 units have been ordered with delivery by 2027.
A complex, well-designed and excellently detailed model, that will suit only medium-experienced and experienced modelers. The chassis, its suspension, external detailing, armament, and cabin equipment are perfectly detailed. The interior of the engine compartment is not detailed; there are no color reserves. The textual instruction is small and explain only the most complex moments of the model assembly, the graphical ones are large-scale, detailed, informative, and easy to read.
