“Zeppelin” LZ 89 (L 50) was an R-class airship, that served in the German Imperial Navy. After a short career during World War I, it ran out of fuel during a mission and was deliberately crashed by its crew. It made five flights over the North Sea. In addition to reconnaissance missions over the sea, it participated in two attacks on Great Britain, during which it dropped a total of 4,135 kg of bombs. On 20 October 1917, LZ 89 returned from a bombing raid on Norwich and ran out of fuel. In order to avoid capture, the commander ordered a controlled crash at Damartin-sur-Meuse, where the “Zeppelin” was destroyed, but the crew successfully abandoned it. As the airship broke up, the control cabin broke off and the fuselage itself flew over the Mediterranean Sea with the five crew members, remaining on board. Two officers and 14 crew members were arrested and imprisoned in Bourbonne-les-Bains.

The model, although large, is not very complex, well designed and quite well detailed, will suit even inexperienced modelers, working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. There are not many details, but the size is the main complexity of this model. There is no color stock, but it is not really needed, the textual instruction in Polish is not very large, but quite well complements the also small, but sufficient for the correct assembly of the model graphical instructions.
