"Catch me who can" - one of the world's first steam locomotives (the third, counting from the first patented) and the very first passenger locomotive. Built in 1808 by constructor Richard Trevithick, the locomotive was primarily intended to demonstrate the capabilities of the new vehicle (the term "locomotive" appeared only 17 years later). To this end, Trevithick built a circular railway in Bloomsbury (London), south of the current Euston station, as an amusement park, on which a locomotive would run. A small passenger carriage was often attached to the locomotive, thus forming the world's first passenger train. The locomotive reached a speed of 19 km/h. Its main disadvantage was its heavy weight (8 tons), which often caused the fragile cast iron rails to break and the rolling stock to derail. Despite this, the locomotive attracted great interest from many constructors, who began to look for investors. However, the next locomotive was not built until 1811.
A small and simple model of a small steam locomotive, well-designed and not overloaded with details, will suit both advanced beginners and modelers with little experience. Even they will not need any supervision from a more experienced colleague, but You will need to work not rushing, carefully and accurately. There are no color reserves, but there are details of the railway track and the roadbed. The textual instruction in Polish and English is small, but quite detailed, informative and perfectly complements the graphical instruction, which is not very large, but easy to read, quite detailed and informative.
