2nd class miners No. 39-43 and No. 62-66, ordered by Japan under 1896 program, designed and built by the English company "Yarrow", based on the design of the destroyer "Viper", built for Austria-Hungary. The first five launched in 1900 and commissioned in 1901, the rest - in 1901 and 1902 respectively. During the Russo-Japanese War, destroyers of this type were of the 10th (No. 40, 41, 42, 43), 16th (No. 39, 66) and 20th (No. 62, 63, 64, 65) squadrons part. At the beginning of the war they were in the Sea of Japan: squadrons 10 and 16 as part of the 3rd escadre (escadre  commander - Vice Admiral S. Kataoka, flagship ship "Itsukushima"), 20 - in the 2nd (escadre commander). - Vice Admiral X .Kamimura, flagship -"Idzumo"). In 1904 in the spring the ships moved to Port Arthur. November 28 No. 66 was seriously damaged (2 sailors killed, 1 wounded), when it struck a Russian mine southeast of the Liaoteshan Peninsula. In mid-December Japanese destroyers spent six nights, trying to destroy the Russian battleship "Sevastopol". Damaged No. 42 sank east of Liaoteshan on the night of December 15 (8 people died) by the Russian destroyer "Sierdityj". By the time of the Battle of Tsushima, all three squadrons were assigned to the 3rd escadre. Participated in night attacks. Destroyer No. 63 participated in a duel with squadron destroyer "Gromkij". In 1913 were removed from the fleet lists, before being scrapped, used for auxiliary purposes.

Two small, well-designed and detailed models of Japanese destroyers, which will be excellently assembled even by novice modelers, working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. Where necessary, the details are printed with double-sided printing, there are details, printed with "Metallic" bronze paint. There is a considerable stock of colors. The graphic instructions, although quite large, have very small drawings. But it won't work to skimp on informativeness - drawings are maximally useful.
