ORP “Kujawiak” –the Polish escort destroyer

Built in Great Britain and transferred to the Polish Navy in 1941, the ORP “Kujawiak” primarily escorted Allied convoys and participated in, among other actions, the Lofoten Raid. In June 1942 it took part in Operation “Harpoon”, providing cover for a supply convoy, bound for Malta; on June 16 it struck a mine and sank near the coast, resulting in the deaths of 13 crew members.

A compact, straightforward model of a ship, featuring a colorful camouflage scheme; it is suitable for modelers of various experience, though, perhaps, not for absolute beginners. Advanced beginners and modelers little experienced should work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, work without rushing, with care and precision. The model is well-designed and features a high level of detail for this scale. It also includes a generous amount of colors reserves. The textual instruction in English and Polish is extensive, detailed, and informative; the graphical instruction is also quite large, informative, easy to read and excellently illustrated. The edition consists of two main frame parts laser-cut from 1 mm thick cardboard and the flag of the Polish Navy (Marynarka Wojskowa), printed on thin paper.
