Pitts - S2B "Special" - American aerobatic plane

The history of this small aerobatic plane goes back almost 80 years (60 when the magazine was published). The first Pitts "Special" biplane appeared in 1944 as a machine for tending cotton fields in Florida. They were ordered by Curtiss Pitts, who wanted to have a plane with special aerobatic properties. The machine was so good, that Betty Skelton won all the US Women's Aerobatic competitions in 1948-1951 with her "Pitts". In the sixties, the "Special" was already one of the world's most popular aerobatic airplanes. These airplanes are very loved by the pilots, who fly them, they are easy to fly and perform all possible aerobatic figures well. Even now they are a great decoration of many air shows and competitions. Its latest versions are bought with pleasure by pilots, who love aerobatics.

Although small, the model of this airplane is classified as medium in complexity, so it is not recommended for beginner modelers - even those working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. Recommended for advanced beginners (without cockpit interior production) and modellers with little experience, working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. The greatest complexity is its minimalist details, and the work is further complicated by the unconventional shape of the fuselage. The model is well designed and quite well detailed, there is a stock of red color and nothing else is needed, the graphic instructions are small, but quite, clear and detailed, the textual ones are even smaller, but also excellent.
