Based on the scheme of its predecessor, the MiG-15, the MiG-17 fighter had many structural innovations. Its engine was much more powerful and already with an afterburner. This fighter was the first in the world in 1950 to exceed the speed of sound in horizontal flight. It became the first universal fighter, capable of operating in all weather conditions, day or night. Used in the military air forces of many socialist world and developing countries.
A model of medium complexity that can be made even by a modeler with little experience under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. Antiquarian edition.
