Pz. Kpfw. VI "Tiger" (P) (other names: VK4501(P), Porsche Type 101 or for short - "Tiger" (P)) - a prototype of a German heavy tank of World War II. It was manufactured in 1942, but never entered in mass production. The tank was 9.54 meters long and 3.4 meters wide, powered by two "Porsche" Type 101 TRM engines with 310–320 h. p. each. The prototype was armed with 1 88 mm KwK 36 L / 56 and 2 7.92 mm MG 34 machine guns. "Tiger" (P) was created for the needs of the German ground forces as a new heavy tank, capable of fighting the Soviet T-34 at long distances. Its main advantage on the battlefield was its powerful firepower and very strong armor. The prototype presented was a specific development of the VK3001 (P) project and, compared to it, had a clearly thickened frontal armor. During field tests, the "Tiger" (P) turns out to be a very undeveloped design, very safe, but not very mobile on the battlefield. One of the main problems was the use of two engines, this unit was prone to overheating and jamming. Ultimately, the "Tiger" (P) was not put into mass production and lost in competition with the tank, manufactured by the "Henschel" factory. It is worth noting, that the chassis, produced by the "Tiger" (P), were used in the production of tank hunters "Ferdinand" (Sd.Kfz. 184).

A large, complex, well-designed and richly detailed tank model without internal equipment, suitable only for medium-experienced and experienced modelers. Both the text (in Polish) and graphic instructions are small, but quite informative and perfectly complement each other. Tracks - only from separate tracks, beautiful camouflage, there is a color reserve (and quite large). Antiquarian publication.
