This aircraft is one of the most interesting and longest-serving designs after World War II. In these fighters were armed all NATO countries, Japan, South Korea, Israel and Arab states. It has proven itself in many armed conflicts and has shown excellent combat qualities. At one time, they were the main striking force of the US Army and Navy in the Vietnam War. The “Phantom” successfully fought against Vietnamese “MiG”s, and flying in a razor-sharp flight, it accurately attacked point and large-area targets in difficult mountainous terrain. Despite its high weight (almost the same as a B-17 “Flying Fortress” or two “Wellington”s from World War II), it was characterized by a high rate of climb, was surprisingly maneuverable and reliable in all phases of flight. It could fly at speeds, exceeding Mach 2. These fighters were equipped with a powerful six-barreled rotary cannon and could carry various hanging weapons on pylons and in many variations. It was used from land bases and from aircraft carrier decks. In total over 5,000 exemplars of this aircraft were produced in many versions and modifications.
A rather large model of a large fighter, perfectly designed for those times and also perfectly detailed, is intended only for modelers of medium experience and experienced. Due to the rather complex shapes, even the simplified version will be "hard" for beginners and modelers with little experience. The exterior of the fighter is well detailed, the cockpit equipment and chassis and its niches are moderately detailed, the visible parts of the engine are quite poorly detailed, the range of mounted weapons is not large, the control plates - only together with the main plates. There are no color reserves. The textual instruction is considerable, quite detailed and informative in Polish, the graphical ones - not too large, but sufficient for assembling the model, informative, clear and easy to read. Antiquarian publication.
