The mobile crane KS-4561, capable of lifting loads up to 16 tons, is intended for building and communications, loading and unloading works and is a self-propelled, diesel and electric engine-driven full-turn crane, mounted on the chassis of the KrAZ-257 heavy truck. These mobile cranes were designed and manufactured in the USSR at the Kamyshin plant. The main lifting boom is 10 m long, but can be extended to 14, 18 or 22 meters with special inserts. The electrical circuit is designed so, that the crane can be connected to an external high-voltage - 380 V - network. KrAZ-257 - a heavy truck, produced at the Kremenchug Automobile Plant from 1965 to 1995. It was the result of further development of the KrAZ-219 truck. Many of these cranes also worked in the Lituanian SSR national economy and survived the times of independent Lihuania and worked at its facilities. But time is merciless and, I think, to meet this mobile crane somewhere in Lituania now would be tantamount to a miracle.

A large and well-detailed model of a large mobile crane. Detailed control cabin, all external details, chassis, transmission, suspension, lifting mechanisms and all crane equipment, wheels. It is only strange that, despite the fairly good level of detailing of the chassis and transmission, the engine compartment is completely undetailed. The model itself is quite worn, I would say, it depicts a completely neglected car, ending its last days somewhere near a barely surviving building company. The model is intended only for medium experience and experienced modelers. There are colors reserves, but not too many, some parts are printed double-sided. Textual instructions are not suit. The graphical instructions are considerable, informative, clear and easy to read. After working with computer design programs and based on photos from the Internet, it is easy to convert this "monster" into a perfect "Lituanian" model.
