SU-76 - the Soviet self-propelled artillery unit (SPAU) of the Second World War. The first prototypes of this combat vehicle were produced in 1942, and serial production took place between 1942 and 1945. In total, about 14,000 of this type of SPAU were produced. The basic version of this artillery unit had a combat weight of up to 10.2 tons and was powered by two paired GAZ-202 diesel engines with a power of 70 h.p. each. The machine was armed with a 76.2 mm cannon ZIS-3. The self-propelled artillery unit SU-76 was created on the basis of the light tank T-70. The SU-76 was originally intended to be a tank destroyer, but in practice on the Eastern Front it was mostly used to support its infantry with fire in defense and attack. Shooting was carried out by direct fire and indirect fire. Although the combat machine was developed relatively quickly, if not hastily, it turned out to be a very successful weapon, relatively cheap to manufacture and easy to use. The main modification of the SU-76 was the SPAU, named SU-76M (SU-15), which improved reliability, allowed one gearbox to control both engines and significantly reduced internal vibration levels. SU-76 devices were widely used by the armed forces of the USSR and Poland during the battles on the Eastern Front, and to a lesser extent - during the Korean War by the soldiers of the Korea PDR (1950-1953).

A well-designed and well-detailed model for intermediate to advanced modellers. However, working under the supervision of a more experienced modeler, this model can be glued by a advanced beginner and little experienced modeller, but it will not be easy and there will be no place for rush and carelessness. Model without interior equipment detailing, exterior, chassis detailed quite accurately and carefully. There is a fairly large stock of color. The graphic instruction is not large, but quite clear and detailed, perfectly readable, the textual - is quite large and perfectly complements the graphic instruction. The model reproduces the appearance of the SPAU of the Red Army of the USSR, that fought on the Eastern Front.
