Type 4 "Chi-To" – the Japanese medium tank

The main medium tank of the Japanese army during World War II was the Type 97 Shinhoto "Chi-Ha". Over time, it became clear, that their armor and armament were too weak and significantly inferior in combat to the American M4 "Sherman". Initially, it was planned to modernize the Type 97, but the gun with which the modernized tank Type 3 "Chi-Nu" was armed, was characterized by low ballistic characteristics. Therefore, as soon as the serial production of this tank began, the projecting of a completely new medium tank Type 4 "Chi-To" began. Due to its larger hull and turret, it had to be armed with a 75 mm long-barreled gun. Only 5 tanks of this type were produced by the end of the war. 

A medium-complexity, well-designed and perfectly detailed model, which will suit only medium-experienced and experienced modelers. However, advanced beginners and modelers with little experience, working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, can also assemble this handsome model, but You will not rush, work patiently and carefully. The chassis, its suspension, external detailing, armament, and tracks only from individual tracks are perfectly detailed. There is almost a full sheet of color reserves. The textual instruction in Polish is quite large, well describing the entire process of assembling the model and perfectly complements the extensive, quite detailed, informative and easy-to-read graphical instruction. The model recreates the appearance of the prototype with a welded turret, made of armor plates and a short-barreled 75 mm gun. The tank was painted in the three-color spotted camouflage, used by the Japanese army at the end of the war.
