The German light tanks Panzerkampfwagen I of version A, as well as the newer version B machines, formed the main armored forces in the Polish campaigns of September 1939 and France in 1940. A smaller number of these tanks were used in the Balkans and North Africa. As more and more new and powerful tanks were brought into combat, these machines began to be withdrawn from the front lines in 1941 and reassigned to secondary roles or training. Some of them were converted into self-propelled guns "Bison". After removing the tank's turret and its turning equipment, the entire SIG-33 haubitze, along with the wheels, was installed in its place and covered with light armor. As a result, the SPG was quite high, there was no place for large supplies of combat ammunition and it had to be transported on a separate vehicle. A total of 38 units were produced, 36 of which were divided into 6 separate campaigns, which were assigned to armored divisions. The last mention of the use of these self-propelled guns in combat was in mid-1943.
A medium-complexity, well-designed and excellently detailed model, that will suit modelers of any experience. Only advanced beginners and modelers with little experience should work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, don’t rush, work patiently and carefully. The chassis, its suspension, external detailing, armament, only strip tracks are perfectly detailed. The color reserve is quite large. The model depicts a "Bison" from the battles on the Eastern Front in mid-1942. By the way, for the most impatient, we recommend starting the model with the cannon - after completing it, You will be able to participate in competitions in the artillery model category, until the "Bison" chassis is completed. The textual instruction in Polish is considerable, well describing the entire process of assembling the model and perfectly complementing the medium-size, fairly detailed, informative and easy-to-read graphical instruction.
