The F-105 "Thunderchief" initially aroused distrust among all the pilots, who started flying it. A large, relatively small-winged aircraft with a bomb bay - what kind of fighter is this?! But, when they flew the "Thunderchief"s for a while, their opinions changed dramatically. The aircraft was excellently maneuverable, performed all the maneuvers well, was - like all "Republic" company aircraft - sturdy and reliable, and was the highest achievement of aircraft production in the late 1950s. It was the last fighter of the so-called "hundredth" series. The F-105's career finally ended after 25 years of service. The aircraft, designed as a fighter-bomber, ended its service as a ground-to-air missile battery destroyer and electronic warfare fighter.

A beautiful, well-designed and richly detailed "manual" design airplane model of medium complexity for medium-experienced and experienced modelers. However, working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, simplifying something, without making a cabin interior, hanging weapons and a released landing gear, this model will be perfectly assembled by both an advanced beginner and a modeler with little experience. True, it would be worth trying to do all this - and, maybe, You will manage to do everything and have a really great model and gain more confidence in Your abilities and knowledge. You just need to work carefully and attentively, without rushing. There is no color reserve, the text instruction is small and not very detailed, the graphic one is sufficient. The cockpit equipment, landing gear, a fairly wide range of hanging weapons, excellent exterior detailing, quite presentable camouflage. The model recreates the AF 59-822/ RE aircraft, nicknamed "The Polish Glider", which Major Donald Kutyna of the 335th Tactical Fighter Wing of the 44th Tactical Fighter Division of the USAF flew in Thailand in 1970 and was stationed at Takhli Air Base.
