Heinkel "Lerche" - German World War II fighter-prototype. The aircraft design was avant-garde: it had a circular wing shape, which was practically unheard of in aviation. The fighter was to be equipped with “Daimler-Benz” DB603E or DB605 engines, with a total power of 4000 to 4800 h. p. The armament was to consist of six 30 mm Mk.108 cannons. Heinkel "Lerche" was developed at the end of World War II, at the turn of 1944-1945, and its main purpose was to combat Allied bombers, destroying German industry and cities. Due to the likelihood, that German airfields would be destroyed, the aircraft had to take off and land vertically, which in turn led to a very unusual fighter design. By March 1945 the initial tests of the fighter were completed, but the lack of suitable raw materials and the approaching end of the war did not allow the prototype to take off for its first flight. It is worth adding, that the Heinkel “Wespe" was a very similar aircraft, but used a single turboprop engine.
A not very complicated, well-designed and well-detailed (cabin interior, chassis, exterior detailing, wing construction, fairly presentable camouflage) fighter-project model for modelers of any experience. Only beginners and those, with little experience, should work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, not rush and use all the reserves of diligence, attentiveness and patience. The cabin interior is not complicated, so it is worth trying to make a full version of the model for any modeler. After all, if You fail, You can always give up something. There is a fairly large reserve of colors. The text instruction is medium in size, but detailed, the graphic one is also not very large, but detailed.
