„Mig-29“ – the Soviet/ Russian/ Polish fighter

The aircraft was constructed in the USSR at the design office of Mikoyan and Gurevitch at the turn of 1969-1970. It first flight take place in 1977, in 1982 serial production began at a factory in Moscow. Delivered to several countries around the world, including Poland, which in 1989 bought the first 7 fighters of this brand. Later, more of them were purchased, some of which were sold by Germany from the former German DR AF. In total the Poles had about 45 “MiG-29” fighters, who are now phasing out.
