"Voskhod" (Russian: «Восход», Engl. "Sunrise"), also known as "Project 352", "Project 03521" and "Eurofoil", is a type of passenger hydrofoil ship, built in the Soviet Union, and later in Ukraine. Designed for use on rivers and lakes, and good sailing characteristics allow them to be used in coastal areas at sea. The “Voskhod” was designed to replace the older hydrofoil passenger ships: the “Raketa” and the “Meteor”. The first ship of this type was built at the “Morie” Shipyard in Feodosia, USSR. By the early 1990s, about 150 “Voskhod “ships had been built. However, production later almost ceased due to the problems, that the shipyard, which was mainly intended for military purposes, encountered in adapting to the new economic and political situation in the country. In addition to the Soviet Union, the “Voskhod’s” were exported to 18 other countries, including Canada, Greece, Vietnam, China, Yugoslavia, the Netherlands, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Thailand, and Turkey. In 2002, three “Voskhod”-type ships (model “Voskhod”-2M FFF, also known as “Eurofoil”) were built for the Dutch public transport operator “Connexxion”. In Vietnam, “Voskhod” ships operate daily between Cat Ba Island and Hai Phong. In the Netherlands, “Voskhod-Eurofoil” ships operate on the North Sea Canal between Amsterdam Central Station and Eemyden near the North Sea coast. The journey takes half an hour and is part of a national public transport network serving both passengers and tourists. The ships were adapted for the Dutch market to allow the safe transport of passenger bicycles in racks on the upper deck. When the line first opened in 1998, it used four “Voskhod” ships, which had previously been used in Ukraine. In 2002, three new ships (604, 605, 606) were built at the “Connexxion” plant in Feodosia, but each of them received a "personal" name in the Netherlands. “Connexxion” sold three old “Voskhod” ships, but the fourth, “Annemarie”, is kept by the operator as a reserve. The service was discontinued in 2014 due to a new speed limit (reduced speed reduced the number of passengers and therefore the profitability of the service).

A small and simple model of a small passenger diesel-ship, intended for modelers of any experience. The model is well designed and well detailed; there is even a detailing of the passenger salon and control cabin interiors. Beginners and modelers with little experience are recommended to work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague and not to do the detailing of the passenger salon and control cabin and transparent windows. There are no color stocks, some parts are printed double-sided, textual instructions in Ukrainian, Polish, English and German are small, but perfectly complement the not too large, but quite informative, easy-to-read graphical instructions.
