Kozlam "RegioVan" - a family of Polish-made standard gauge rail-buses. These buses were manufactured in 2003 - 2005 at the "Kozlam" factory in Racibórz. In 2011 - 2012, production was taken over by the "Fablok" factory in Chrzanow. "Kozlam" produced only two single-set 211M type SA 107 units and 10 double-set 212 M type SA 109 rail-buses. It was also planned to produce three-set 210 M buses, but none were produced. Until the mid-1990s, PKP operated 6 rail-buses manufactured by "Kolzam" (SN81 and SA104) and 6 by "ZNTK Poznan" (SA101 and SA102). In the 1990s, PKP planned to purchase a large number of new rolling stock: 16 "Pendolino" trains, 50 EU11/EU43 locomotives from "Adtranz-Pafawag" and several hundred rail-buses for local services. The "Pendolino" tender was terminated in 2000, following an audit by the Supreme Audit Office. Although the tender for locomotives was not terminated, due to PKP's financial difficulties, none of the locomotives entered service in Poland and all of them were sold to the Italian national carrier 'Ferrovie dello Stato" in 2002. As for the rail-buses, the contract was not even signed. However, in line with PKP's plans, "Kolzam" and "ZNTK Poznan", the only rail-bus manufacturers in Poland at the time, made some preparations. In the case of "Kolzam", this resulted in the development of a three-section rail-bus, based on the SA104 design, which never entered service. In 2000, the adoption of the PKP restructuring law, changed the method of financing regional transport by establishing "PKP Przewozy Regionalne" and obliging local authorities to allocate part of the funds for the purchase of rolling stock. Based on the experience of previous preparatory work, "Kolzam" proposed to local authorities the "RegioVan" rail-bus family, consisting of 1-, 2- and 3-member rail-buses. In addition to "Kolzam", "ZNTK Poznan" with its "Regio Tramp" and "PESA" (formerly "ZNTK Bydgoszcz") with its "Partner" also participated in the tenders. After "Kozlam" declared bankruptcy in August 2005, "RegioVan" production documents and rights were acquired by "Fablok". "Kolzam" itself was acquired by the Hungarian company "Mavex-Rekord" in 2007.
One publication contains models of two rail-buses, painted in different colors, but used by the same company "Lublin Voivodeship Railways". Both models are very simple (in essence, they are two connected in one publication single-sheet "Extra Model" models). Therefore, even novice modelers should not have any problems, gluing them together. And You don't need the help of more experienced colleagues, but it's more fun to work in a team.
