The "Benton" was a Union Navy armored river ironclad from the American Civil War era. The ship was named after American Senator Thomas Hart Benton. "Benton" was a catamaran with a wheel, placed between the hulls, used for cleaning river beds, which in 1861 redesigned by industrialist and inventor James W. Eads in St. Louis. The battleship entered military service in 1862 February 24 as part of the armed ship flotilla of the Western Army. Participated in major river battles on the Mississippi. After the war it was sold in 1865 November 29

From the magazine can be made a model of ironclad in appearance  of 1862. A medium-complexity, well-designed and well-detailed, but not overly complex model, the 14th in the American Civil War warship series. The model is designed for modellers of all experience, but beginners and less experienced modelers are recommended to work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. Where necessary, details are double-side printed. There is a color reserve. Short text instructions in Ukrainian, Polish, German, English. Medium-sized, but sufficiently informative graphic instruction.
