After World War II, the Polish People's Republic began to create its own Border Guard Troops (WOP), under which the 6th Border Guard Cutter Brigade of the Border Guard Troops was established on December 22, 1965 with headquarters in the New Port of Gdansk. It expanded, strengthened, armed itself and guarded the maritime borders of the People Republic of Poland. The naval forces of this service consisted of several dozen boats, which were improved, modernized and new ships were built. On August 1, 1991, the WOP 6 Border Cutter brigade was reorganized into the Border Guard Maritime Division, which took over the functions of protecting the maritime borders of the Republic of Poland and has been performing it to this day. Now it is served with modern and powerful ships, that protect not only the sea borders of Poland, but also the sea borders of the European Union.
A small, quite well-designed for those times and moderately detailed model of a border guard cutter from the 70s - 80s of the XXth century can be made from this publication. The textual instructions in Polish are quite extensive and informative, the graphic ones could be better. The publisher did not even think about double-sided printing and color reserves at that time. The model will suit both experienced and novice modelers, but beginners should glue this model under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. Antiquarian publication.
