In the mid-1960s the “Almaz” Central Constructor Bureau developed a project for a border patrol cutter for closed seas - Project 1400 (codename "Grif", NATO codename "Zhuk"). The artillery cutter "Skadovsk" was built in Feodosia and launched in 1990. After the collapse of the USSR, it was included in the Ukrainian Navy. Currently (at the time of publication of the magazine) "Skadovsk" is a part of the division of ships of protection and support of the Western Ukrainian naval base. The cutter "PSKA-545" is part of the Black and Azov Sea Border Directorate of the Coast Guard of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation.

Two complete models can be assembled from the edition. The level of detail is average, but still sufficient to assemble an interesting and impressive models. The models of small ships are also well designed, designed for modelers of any experience. Only beginners and modelers with little experience are recommended to work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. There are no color stocks, the textual instruction in Russian, Polish, English and German are large, perfectly explaining the entire process of gluing the models and perfectly complementing the perhaps slightly too small drawings, but not bad, quite informative and easy-to-read graphical instruction.
