Instead of the "Grom", sunk near Narvik, the Polish Navy borrowed a newly built "N" class destroyer from the British Admiralty. Named ORP "Piorun" (Lightning), it was partially crewed by surviving "Grom" sailors. The ship was actively involved in combat operations from the beginning of 1941 and was in the very center of events throughout World War II. During the war sailed 218 thousand nautical miles, escorted 81 convoys, sank 4 enemy ships and severely damaged two more, sank 1 submarine, shot down 1 plane. It was modernized twice. In September 1946 the Polish flag was lowered and the ship was returned to the British, where it sailed under the name HMS "Noble" until 1956.
A model of medium complexity, suitable even for modelers with little experience, but they are better off working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. Antiquarian magazine.
