The galleon "Wodnik" was one of the best-known Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth (PLC) warships of the 17th century. As one of the 10 participants in the Battle of Oliva in 1627, it contributed most to the PLC fleet's victory over the Swedish fleet, blockading the port of Gdansk. "Wodnik" won a duel against a much more powerful Swedish ship - the galleon "Solen". The Swedish commander, seeing his imminent defeat, ordered his ship to be blown up. "Wodnik" is a typical three-masted galleon of that period, armed with 11 iron and 6 cast iron cannons. Its crew consisted of 45-50 sailors, and up to 80 marines were taken on deck during the battle. The hull was built of oak wood; the masts and spars were made of maple wood.

A small, medium-complexity, moderately designed and fairly well-detailed model for medium-experienced and experienced modelers. However, the model is not so complicated, that it could not be glued by an advanced beginner modeler, working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. There is no color reserve, as in many "manual" design models, the text instruction is quite large and informative, the graphic one could be better, but this should be enough for a good model gluing. Antiquarian publication.
