This fighter was designed in the mid-1930s. It arose from the need for a strategic long-range fighter, capable of escorting bombers far into enemy territory. The prototype Bf-110V-1 first flew on May 12, 1936. Difficulties with the production and delivery of engines of the required power meant, that the first serial fighters entered the Luftwaffe units only in February 1939. Me-110C fighters participated in the September 1939 campaign in Poland, during which 13 aircraft of this brand were lost and several more were damaged by fighter and anti-aircraft fire. During the Battle of Britain, these fighters suffered almost the most - they often became the desired target of British and Polish pilots, flying "Hurricane" fighters. But they were the terror of motorized columns, railway trains and airfields in France and in the initial stage of the war with the USSR. The Me-110 was the "workhorse" of the Luftwaffe and, when used properly, was a very formidable and useful weapon.

A medium-sized, not very complicated model, which will suit any level of experience modeler. Even a novice modeler, working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, making the landing gear retracted, can perfectly assemble this model. The detailing of the model is not impressive - there is not even detailing of the cabin interior or the bomb racks and the bombs themselves, that the plane could carry. There is also no color stock, the text instruction is quite extensive, informative, the graphics are average, but detailed. The antiquarian publication.
