Messerschmitt Bf-109 – single-engine propeller fighter – monoplane, which was in the armament of the German Luftwaffe in the interwar period and World War II. Used as a fighter, interceptor fighter, high-altitude fighter, fighter-bomber, reconnaissance aircraft. According to the number of copies produced (by April 1945 – 33984 units) it is one of the most massive fighters in the entire history of aviation. The new fighter of Willy Messerschmitt first took to the air on May 28, 1935. After the tests, the Luftwaffe ordered another 10 Bf-109s. The Bf-109E modification was essentially the first mass-produced version of this aircraft. These fighters fought throughout the war (in Poland, Scandinavia, North-Western Europe) and were the best or one of the best everywhere. However, during the Battle of Britain, the shortcomings of the "Emil" began to appear. In 1939, 80 Bf-109Es were sold to Switzerland and they were used by the Swiss Air Force long after the end of the war.

A medium-complexity, well-designed and excellently detailed model for modelers of any experience. From the publication You can make a model of the German Luftwaffe ace Adolf Galland's Messerschmitt Bf-109E-4/N with a full cockpit and excellent chassis detailing. For advanced beginners and modelers with little experience, we advise assembling this model under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, making a simplified (without cockpit interior, with opaque cockpit canopy, retracted landing gear) model in the flight phase, and this should not be one of the first more complex models.
