The hostilities in Korea and subsequent armed conflicts have shown, that traditional aviation is not very suitable for successful fire support of infantry on the battlefield, the destruction of armored vehicles and defense points, installed in difficult-to-reach areas. Paradoxically, the increase in aircraft speeds and the growth of their armament power, instead of improving the situation, has worsened it even more. Already in the Vietnam War, special formations of relatively well-armed attack helicopters began their activities, which began to successfully supplement, and often even replace, jet fighters. As much, as the power and accuracy of the armament, met the requirements of the time, the lack of armor and, at the same time, low resistance even to small arms fire, caused significant losses of helicopter crews. After evaluating the experience, partially armored helicopters were constructed: in the USA it was the AH-64 "Apache", in the USSR and later in Russia - the Mil Mi-24, which received their baptism of fire in the battles in Afghanistan. The next version of the helicopter, the Mi-28, constructed by the Mil Constructors Bureau, was already a real attack helicopter, which can be called a flying tank without a doubt, and due to its combat characteristics, it was even given the NATO code name "Havoc" ("Territory Destroyer"). At the 1993 aviation exhibition, the Mi-28 performed a death loop, and later a barrel roll, which for helicopters of this mass is almost a stunt trick.

A moderately detailed and well-designed model with full cabin equipment, suspended and fixed weapons, landing gear, propellers and exterior detailing. Although it looks complicated, the model is not. It can be assembled perfectly by modelers of any experience, working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. The model without any technological intricacies, but well assembled, will certainly look impressive. There are no color reserves. The textual instructions are small, but clear, informative, explaining a lot in Polish, the graphical ones are medium-size, but also comprehensive and informative, and also - perfectly readable. The model recreates the appearance of the helicopter, operated by the Indian Air Force. Antiquarian publication.
