Krakow Gate (Pol. - Brama Krakowska) - a medieval brick gate in the city walls of Lublin (it no longer exists), through which it was possible to enter the old town from the then capital of Poland, Krakow. The main street of the old town - Krakowskie Przedmiescie - begins from this gate. The building of the fortified gate began after the Tatar attack in 1341 by order of King Casimir III. A ditch was dug in front of the city wall, through which a bridge was lowered to the gate. In the first half of the 16th century, the fortifications were renovated by architect Sebastian Włoch. The gate was reconstructed in 1673 and 1742–1745. In 1782, it was reconstructed under the leadership of Domenico Merlini. In the first half of the 19th century, the gate was decorated with worship icons, depicting the Virgin Mary and St. Anthony (the patron saint of the city). In the 1950s, the gate was restored to its original medieval appearance. The interior houses the Museum of the History of Lublin.

The model perfectly recreates the current appearance of the gate. There are no color and texture reserves, and there are no text instructions either, but the assembly drawings should be enough. If You take Your time, work carefully and thoroughly, Your collection will be enriched with a truly great model.
