St. Prokop Church - rotunda in Strzelno (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship) - a historical temple, the beginning of which dates back to the early Middle Ages. Based on the chronicles of Jan Dlugosz, it can be stated, that the church was consecrated in 1133, but most likely the church was built before 1220 and the rotunda of St. Procopius, as the name suggests, was built in a circular Romanesque style plan. Built of field stone and finished with bricks. The main element of the church is the rotunda, which serves as a nave, and next to it: a quadrangular chapel with a ribbed vault, two apses and a high tower, resembling a horseshoe-shaped structure with a very pronounced slope, reinforcing the entire structure of the pitched roof. Probably at the turn of the 15th-16th centuries, the church was renovated, and the upper part of the church and a large part of the tower were dismantled and rebuilt, but from bricks. The building was first completely renovated only in 1892, and repaired once more - in 1924-1925. During the Second World War, the temple was largely destroyed, and restoration and reconstruction work began in the 1950s and continued until the beginning of the 21st century! The Rotunda of St. Prokop in Strzelno has been a historical monument since 2018.

A small, simple, but quite presentable model for a modeler of any experience. That it is suitable even for a beginner, who has glued only a few models, is shown by the photo of the model, made by one of my students. This model does not have any sophisticated structural elements or decorations, but the shapes are peculiarly beautiful, and the masonry and brick walls are very realistic. There are no reserves of colors and textures, the textual instruction in Polish is small, but quite detailed, the graphical one are a dozen small drawings, but sufficient for good gluing of the model.
