STAR 28/29 - Polish PR covered truck

STAR 28/29 is a Polish road truck, manufactured by Fabryka Samochodow ciezarowych (FSC) "STAR" in Starachowiczi. Its first examples were produced in 1968, serially produced in 1968-1983 (STAR ​​29) and 1968-89 (STAR ​​28). Two different engines are installed in these cars: 100 h. p. power S530A1 diesel (STAR ​​28) and 105 h. p. power S47A gasoline (STAR ​​29). STAR 28/29 - an intermediate structure between the cars STAR 25 and STAR 27 and the special purpose station car STAR 200. Compared to their predecessors, the new cars, differing only in the drive system, had more powerful engines, modernized gearboxes and strengthened suspension. They are equipped with a new driver's cabin, developed in cooperation with the French company "Chausson", which ensured a high level of comfort for the driver. The disadvantages of this type of car were the power-demanding control system and "hard" brake and clutch pedals. Several versions of the STAR 28-29 car appeared during serial production, including: STAR C28 (truck), STAR Ż28 (crane), STAR BW28 (dump truck).

 A well detailed and designed model for intermediate to advanced modellers. But, when working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, this model can be overcome by both novice and advanced modellers. We recommend, that the cockpit equipment and full engine detailing be optional for these modelers. However - You have to do it: if You succeed - HURRACH!!! - we make the full version, it won't work - we make the cab glass frosted, we simplify the engine equipment, we make the awning closed. The model perfectly reproduces the chassis, suspension, transmission, cabin interior, cargo platform, exterior detailing; the engine and its units are slightly less detailed. Cargo platform awning is printed on thin paper with double-sided printing. Color stocks will have to be "caught" sparingly using the gluing boxes for gluing the sides of the reverse parts. The graphic instruction is good, informative and easy to read, the textual one is large and informative.
