HMS "Wild Goose" was a British World War II "Black Shawn" type armed sloop (a type of escort ship). Its keel was laid on January 28, 1942 at the "Yarrow Shipbuilders" shipyard in Scotstown. Launched on October 14, 1942, entered service in the Royal Navy on March 11, 1943. On 22.05.1943, the ship sailed on its first combat mission together with the sloops HMS "Starling", HMS "Wren", HMS "Woodpecker", HMS "Cygnet" and HMS "Kite", which were assigned to protect the transatlantic convoy ONS 8. 44.01.31, the sloop, together with "Starling" and "Magpie", sank the German submarine U-592. He also directly participated in the sinking of submarines U-762 (02.08.1944), U-238 (02.09.44), U-424 (02.11.44). 1944.03.15, operating together with "Starling" and the bomber Fairey "Swordfish" from the aircraft carrier HMS "Vindex" sank the German submarine U-653 at west of Ireland. At the end of May 1944, the ship was assigned to operate in the "Neptune" operation. This group of ships was to interfere against German U-boat attacks on the D-Day invasion convoy ships. On July 1, 1944, HMS "Wild Goose" completed her service in the Normandy landings and was directed to Belfast for repairs, which she completed in September of the same year. During February and March 1945 she operated in the English Channel and, along with the frigates HMS "Labuan" and HMS "Loch Fada", took part in the sinking of submarine U-1279 south-east of the Isle of Scylla and sank of U-683. On May 6, 1945, the ship was sent for repair and modernization. When the modernization repair was completed (in September), World War II was already over. From 1946 to 1955, "Wild Goose" served in the waters of the Middle East. On February 26, 1956, the sloop was removed from the service lists and scrapped.

A small, rather complex, well-designed and maximally detailed model for this scale (just maybe a little too "rusty") for intermediate and experienced modelers. There is a large stock of colors, where necessary, the details are double-sided printied. The graphic instructions are exemplary, there are almost no textual ones (in Polish and English).
