Before World War II the L4500F fire engine was designed and produced in small series on the “Mercedes” L4500S truck chassis. For this purpose an extended cabin and a superstructure for storing fire-fighting equipment were installed on a standard 4x2 chassis. It housed a fire pump, powered by the car's own engine, a water tank and the necessary equipment for extinguishing fires. These cars were widely used during World War II, and the surviving exemplars were used for some time after the war. This car with a reliable and almost eternal diesel engine was the latest technology in its time.

A medium-size, beautiful, well-designed and richly detailed, rather complex model of a German fire truck for medium-experienced and experienced modelers. The model perfectly reproduces all visible exterior details, cabin interior, chassis, engine, transmission, suspension parts, the fire-fighting equipment. There is a fairly large reserve of colors, the text instruction in Polish is large and detailed, perfectly complementing the exemplary and also considerable graphic instruction.
