Pz. Kpfw. III (Panzerkampfwagen III) - German World War II medium tank, designed by "Daimler - Benz" AG. It was the most dynamically developed model, that served in the army of the Third Reich. The first exemplars, produced in 1937, were armed with a 37 mm caliber cannon. Since they did not prove successful in battles with Allied tanks, production of a version with a 50 mm caliber cannon (short-barreled or long-barreled) began in 1940. In mid-1942, the combat vehicles began to be rearmed with a short-barreled 75 mm caliber cannon. At the same time, their role was reduced to escorting their own infantry and covering the heavy tanks Pz. Kpfw. VI "Tiger" from enemy infantry. In mid-1943, production of this type of machine was completely stopped, and by the end of the following year, the Pz. Kpfw. III had almost completely disappeared from front-line units. But a small number of them remained in the occupation units until the end of the war. From March 1940, a new version of the Pz. Kpfw. III - Ausf. G - began to be supplied. The main change was the thickening of the rear armor from 20 to 30 mm. The first 142 - 161 tanks were still armed with a 37 mm KwK 35/36 L/45 cannon, but from July 1940, tanks were standardly produced, armed with 50 mm KwK 35 L/42 cannons. In this version also made a few minor changes: a fan was installed in the turret, the commander's turret was replaced with a more protected one, and a retractable protective armor for the driver's visor was installed. In April - May 1941, 600 Ausf. G version tanks were produced. Since December 1940, older production E, F and G versions of tanks began to be rearmed with a 5 cm L/42 gun, and they were also equipped with bolt-on 30 mm thick armor in the front and rear of the hull. 424 older tanks were thus reworked. Since January 1941, tropical versions of F, G and H tanks have also been produced, in which engine cooling was improved.

The model is designed so, that any modeler of any experience can assemble it. Even beginners and modelers with little experience can assemble this model, if they work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, simplify something and do not rush. The model is without particularly complex nodes, but the hull frame needs to be assembled and sanded very carefully. The model is without internal detailing, but all external detailing, chassis and tracks detailed excellent, beautiful spotted camouflage are perfectly reproduced. There is no color stock, the graphic instructions are considerable, detailed and perfectly illustrate the assembly process, the textual instructions are small and only supplement the drawings. The model recreates the appearance of a tank, used in battles in North Africa.
