In 1934 the RLM prepared a tender for the replacement of the Arado Ar-68 and Heinkel He-51 biplane fighters. In the summer of the same year Professor Messerschmitt and engineer Rethel began work on the design of a single-seat fighter. Airplanes of four companies were submitted to the competition: Arado Ar - 80V - 1, Focke - Wulff FW-159V - 1, Heinkel He - 112V - 1 and Messerschmitt Bf - 109V - 1. Comparative tests of prototypes took place at the end of 1935 in Travemiunde. He - 112 and Bf - 109 were selected for further tests. In the end, the Bf - 109 won the competition, as it was simpler to manufacture and significantly cheaper. The initial order was for only 10 fighters. Improvements followed and the 109 became the standard German fighter. Participated in the Spanish Civil War, where the shortcomings of the machine became apparent. They were quickly removed and the Bf - 109E version was built, which became the most massive during World War II. At the end of 1939. In 1939 20 - 30 Bf - 109E - 3 fighters were also received by the Hungarian Air Force, where they were mainly used as training aircraft.

This publication offers You to make a simple, well-designed and well-detailed Hungarian AF "Meser" from the 5/1 "Puma" group, used in 1943 on the Eastern Front. The model is suitable for modellers of any experience, but it is better for beginners to glue it under the supervision of a more experienced colleague and not as one of the first more complex models. There is a reserve of colors, the graphic instruction is small, but quite clear and detailed, the textual one is small, but also quite detailed and perfectly complements the drawing in Polish and English.
