Arsenal Delanne 10C.1 – the French fighter - prototype

Arsenal Delane 10 C 2 – the French experimental all-metal construction fighter of unconventional tandem wing scheme with strut-supported front and cantilevered rear wing. The front wing is constructed according to the so-called Pulawski wing concept. The aircraft is powered by one “Hispano-Suiza” 12Ycrs engine, developing 860 h. p. The first prototype flight took place in October 1941, but the machine was never accepted into serial production. The main initiator of the creation of the Arsenal Delane 10 C 2 aircraft was the French aircraft designer Maurice Delanne, who was fascinated by the possibilities of the tandem wing. In the 1930s, on his own initiative, using this wings configuration, he managed to create aircraft models and prototypes. In mid-1939 work began on the 10 C 2, but the defeat of France in June 1940 eliminated the possibility of further work. However, the Germans, interested in unusual aerodynamic solutions, decided to complete the work on the new aircraft, and as a result, in 1941 the Arsenal Delane 10 C 2 took off for its first flight. At the end of 1941 the aircraft was transported to the Third Reich, and there the traces of this very unusual aircraft disappear.

A small and very atypical fighter - prototype – small and model, well designed and richly detailed, of medium complexity, painted in the French standard spotted camouflage of 1938-40. Due to its rather complex construction and large glazed cockpit, the model is suitable only for medium and experienced modelers. The model perfectly reproduces all visible external details, the chassis, its niches, cockpit equipment, armament, control plates can be made both together and separately from the main plates. There are no color stocks, the textual instruction in Polish is small and only describes the general outlines of the model assembling process, but it perfectly complements the not very large, but quite informative and easy-to-read graphic instruction.
